J. T. Jones comes to the Benefits Board with over 38 years of experience as a banker, including several years as a bank president. He is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Banking of the South and Senior Bank Management Conference.

Originally, he came to the Benefits Board as a founding member of the Board of Trustees in February 1994. He joined the staff in May of 1995 as Loan Administrator and subsequently being elected to the office of Executive Vice President. If there is anything you need to know regarding a church loan, he would welcome your call.

Currently serving on the Board of Directors at Pathway Credit Union, he also serves on the Council of Deacons at Mt. Olive Church of God in Cleveland where he and his family are active members. He has remained involved in the work of the church his entire adult life. At the 2004 General Assembly, he was appointed to serve as a board member of the Employees Benefit Program (Publishing House). In February 2005, he was elected President of the Pathway Credit Union.

In addition to serving as a member of the Council of Deacons in the churches of which he has been a member, he previously served as a member of a Christian School Board, on the Board of United Way, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, all in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1992, he was inducted into the Church of God Laymen's Hall of Christian Excellence.

He has been married to Clarice for over 50 years. They have six children, who, along with their families are active in their local churches.
